Connected Speech is When people speak fluently, they often connect words together

 

4 types of Connected speech :

1. Linking : link the final consonant with initial vowel

2. Insertion : insert /w/ and /y/ sounds between vowel

3. Deletion : delete /t/ and /d/ sounds in consonant groups

4. Lengthen : lenghten same final and initial consonant
